3 Worst Umpiring Decisions Ever..!

Image
Top 3 worst umpiring decisions ever...!  1. Umpire Joel Wilson's wrong decision denied Zimbabwe the highest ever run chase in World Cup history.  Chasing 332, Zimbabwe were just hanging in there thanks to Brendon Taylor and Sean Williams' 149 run partnership. With 32 needed off 19 balls, the game was on for the two set batsmen. This is when Williams hit one to deep mid-wicket and was caught. The decision went to the third umpire for confirmation.  This is what the fielder's foot looked like when he took the catch.  Take another look!  But to the dismay of Zimbabwe, Sean Williams was declared out! Zimbabwe lost the game by 5 runs!  2. Umpire Rudi Koertzen's blunder not only cost Kumar Sangakkara a double century but Sri Lanka a historical victory in Australia.  Chasing 507 runs, Sri Lanka had made 265-3 before they suffered a collapse which reduced them to 290-8. However, on one end was the impregnable Kumar Sangakkara. He had scored 192 when he we

Unpredictable : Pakistan Cricket in CT 17'

Image
In conversation with  Harsha Bhogle, Babar Azam   discussed the different ups and downs of the CT 2017 journey. With the loss in the first couple of matches and by loosing much confidence of the team, Mikey Arthur and the team was very disappointed on lack of coordination and understanding between the team officials and the captain.  With a push start every team is always very inspired to work harder than they did in the last or previous matches, but in the case of Pakistan there has always been ambiguity about what will happen and what is the strategy.  Mickey Arthur held a meeting and discussed the mistakes and made sure that in the next matches these mistakes will be taken care of. Every player should back the other ones and give it their 100%.  Later on, the team practiced further and improved their mistakes by looking at the video footage of the previous matches and understood that their weak points were fielding and batting line up strategy. They practiced together in the field. Younis also added that Misbah was the captain and he was the acting captain as mostly he used to constantly be in the ear of the bowlers. Since, the evolution of cricket in Pakistan, most of the players that made the history are retired and since our new talent is lacking some of the tips and tricks by experienced players, adding Misbah and Younis into the cricket team being the coaches is a very mature decision, who knows better how to take the team to the
