MisYou - starting from where they left
Former
Pakistani captain Younis Khan has expressed the delight at Misbah-ul-Haq being
the national Batting coach for the tour of England.
” Misbah and I left cricket together and what pleases me most is we left
on a wining note by winning in West Indies where winning was impossible.”
Younis
Khan also expressed that him and Misbah were also very close to each other
during this tenure as they both shared strong content in making their team
stand out from the other teams. They practiced together in the field. Younis
also added that Misbah was the captain and he was the acting captain as mostly
he used to constantly be in the ear of the bowlers.
Since, the
evolution of cricket in Pakistan, most of the players that made the history are
retired and since our new talent is lacking some of the tips and tricks by experienced
players, adding Misbah and Younis into the cricket team being the coaches is a
very mature decision, who knows better how to take the team to the tops than
the man who himself made Pakistan Cricket Team at #1 in the test cricket
rankings. And who’s better batting coach than the man who scored more than 17,000
runs in all formats collectively.
On the current
situation of Corona Virus, Younis said to the press that, “Amidst this
haphazard situation the world will be looking forward to the game between the
two great teams, the tour of England has always been important to us”
Not only the
cricket enthusiasts in the country are happy but also the former players like Shahid
Afridi, Rameez Raja and Basit Khan are also lauding the PCB’s
decision to appoint Younis as the batting coach.
Now, is
the time for MisYou to start their partnership from where they
left it, the only difference is it will be more of the strategic kind rather
than being on the field. And who knows Pakistan may claim their victory in England.
Both are legends!!!!
