Bad Luck or Poor Management Story of Lahore Qalandars.
Lahore
Qalandar is struggling to get on winning track in PSL 6th edition as
they lost their 5th match against Islamabad United. Everything that
could go wrong, did go wrong for Lahore Qalandars; from sheer bad luck with injuries to picking
a team that lacks substance. Munro, the hard-hitting southpaw, smashed eight
boundaries and three sixes through the course of his innings to power the
visitors to 198 for 3, also aided by useful contributions from Luke Ronchi
(31-ball 48), Colin Ingram (19-ball 29) and Asif Ali (6-ball 20*), after being
put in to bat. In response, Lahore struggled to keep themselves in the chase
right from the start, losing Chris Lynn for a second-ball duck. Zafar Gohar and
Shadab Khan ripped through the middle order, combining to bag five wickets
while Rumman Raees wiped off the tail by bagging three scalps. With this
result, Islamabad moved to the second spot on the points table, even as the
third-placed Karachi Kings have two additional games in hand, while Lahore
continue to languish at the bottom with only one win to their credit so far.
